Coral Woods is located just south of Marengo. The last time I had visited this site I became lost while cross-country skiing so I was determined to pay more attention to the setting sun and landmarks. I set out to paint the golden rod before they faded. I stumbled (literally) onto a glorious field of such with each plant showing off their fountains of cadmium yellow. Sitting on the path I painted skyward towards a bird house shy in color compared to its flowering companions.

Coral Woods is located just south of Marengo.
