I am thrilled to have a large landscape accepted into March 24th 4th Fridays at the Starline in Harvard. If you haven't been there, the building is an amazing compilation of historical aesthetics mingled against contemporary art, artists and musicians.
This piece is titled after Ralph Waldo Emerson's quote "We are never tired, so long as we can see far enough"
Emerson speaks to all people who love and live within our Northern Illinois landscape. An open, long view reminds us there are infinite possibilities and endless beauty in our lives if the eye truly looks for them.
This scene is facing North on a early hot summer morning. A brisk rain
shower is passing West, chased by the scarlet sunrise. Steam rolls off
distant fields as rolling alfalfa fields cast their color onto clouds
above. In an instant the view changes, opening up the horizon to new
possibilities.
